Quick verdict
This is a comparison shortlist, not a single winner list. The current range runs from the Wicked Glinda with Removable Fashions & Accessories Doll at £9 up to the Wicked 13 inch Magical Wise Woman Sun Fashion Doll at £50, with the Wicked Emerald City Train Small Doll Playset at £21 and the Deluxe Elphaba and Glinda dolls sitting in the middle. If you want the simplest entry point, the £9 Glinda is the obvious budget starter; if you want a bigger character-led item, the Wise Woman doll is the priciest option to compare, but check the retailer page for the latest price, stock and age guidance before you buy.
Top picks to compare
Start with Wicked 13 inch Magical Wise Woman Sun Fashion Doll (£50), Wicked Emerald City Train Small Doll Playset (£21), Wicked For Good Deluxe Elphaba Doll & Accessories (£33.33) because they give you a focused set of current retailer options to compare. The visible price range is £9-£50, so check whether the extra spend buys a useful specification difference rather than only a different brand or finish. The shortlist includes Wicked, which helps you compare familiar brands against specification, delivery and value.

What matters most in this shortlist
All five picks are from the same brand, Wicked, and they split across dolls and a small playset rather than a wide mix of toy types. That makes the page most useful for judging character appeal, scale and budget, not for comparing unrelated toy categories. Visible owner ratings were limited and varied across the shortlist, so treat them as a confidence check rather than proof that one item is broadly better, and use model-by-model age guidance on Argos as the safer reference point.
The real trade-offs to compare
The main decision is whether you want a larger fashion doll, a smaller play set or the lowest-cost character item. The Wicked Emerald City Train Small Doll Playset is the smaller-format option at £21, while the larger character dolls, including the Wicked For Good Deluxe Elphaba Doll & Accessories at £33.33 and the Wicked For Good Deluxe Glinda Doll & Accessories at £30, lean more toward display appeal and character styling. The Wise Woman doll sits at the top end at £50, so any extra spend should make sense for the child’s interest, the space available and the kind of play or display you want.
Why these five made the shortlist
These five Argos items give a practical brand comparison because they cover the same Wicked theme at different price points, from £9 to £50, and with different formats and accessory bundles. That lets you compare by age fit, play style and budget without having to scan every Wicked listing on the retailer site first. One item also has conflicting age wording, so this shortlist is useful precisely because it flags where you should verify the model details before ordering.
What the current benchmark suggests
The current shortlist shows a £9-£50 price spread, which is wide enough that value depends on what each item actually includes rather than on price alone. The range covers both dolls and a train playset, so the most useful benchmark is format and scale, not a like-for-like winner. Review volume is thin and uneven across the shortlist, so compare the visible rating alongside stock, delivery and bundle details instead of relying on score alone.
How to choose the right Wicked toy
Start with the child’s favourite character, then check the retailer age guidance and the amount of space you have for play or display. If the gift is for a Glinda fan on a tighter budget, the £9 Wicked Glinda with Removable Fashions & Accessories Doll is the entry-level choice; if they want a fuller character item, the Deluxe Elphaba at £33.33 or Deluxe Glinda at £30 may suit better. The train playset is the clear pick to compare if you want a smaller-format set with accessories, while the Wise Woman doll is the most display-led option in the group, so use the product page to confirm what is included before buying.
Value: what each price point is buying you
Value here is less about a bargain price and more about what the bundle gives you for the money. The £9 Glinda is the lowest-spend option, the £21 train playset adds a different play format, and the £30 to £33.33 Deluxe dolls ask for more budget in exchange for a larger character presentation and accessories. The £50 Wise Woman doll needs the strongest fit on character appeal and scale, so check current price, stock and the exact bundle on Argos before deciding whether the extra spend is justified.

Buying questions
Which Wicked toy is best for a lower budget?
The lowest-cost option in this shortlist is the Wicked Glinda with Removable Fashions & Accessories Doll at £9. It is the most accessible starting point if you want a Wicked-themed gift without moving into the £21 train playset or the pricier Deluxe dolls and Wise Woman figure.
Should I choose a Wicked doll or the train playset?
Choose by play style. The Wicked Emerald City Train Small Doll Playset at £21 is the smaller-format option and suits shoppers who want a set with a different play layout, while the fashion dolls are better if the child is more interested in character styling and display appeal.
How important is the age range on these Argos listings?
Very important, because the guidance needs checking model by model and one item has conflicting age wording. Use the retailer’s own age guidance on the product page as the safest reference, especially if you are comparing the Wise Woman doll with the train playset or the Deluxe dolls.
Why do the prices vary so much across the shortlist?
The price gap reflects differences in size, format and bundle contents. The £9 Glinda is a simpler entry point, the train playset sits at £21, the Deluxe dolls are higher again at £30 and £33.33, and the Wise Woman doll reaches £50, so compare what each item includes before assuming the dearer one is automatically better value.
